Paul - MS

Paul lives with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Paul is married with two girls – Amy is a teenager and Katie a toddler. Paul first experienced symptoms of MS as a teenager, but it took around 15 years for him to be diagnosed.

The married father of two girls experienced severe headaches, pins and needles and loss of feeling in his arms and legs. It was only in 2005 that he was referred to a neurologist. Since then, his symptoms since have included a loss of speech and of balance.

Paul says MS has brought his family closer together and they realise what is important. “Overall I would say it has made me realise not to let life slip by. I now do the things I can and want to do instead of thinking there is always tomorrow.”
