Voluntary Sector Consensus Document
The Alliance has been working together with the King’s Fund and nine leading UK charities to develop a common view on what quality and cost-effective care should include. The publication How to deliver high-quality, patient-centred, cost-effective care; consensus solutions from the voluntary sector was launched on Thursday 16 September. It calls for co-ordinated care, supported self management and emotional, psychological and practical support, among other things. There is already significant interest in this document from the Government and it was formally submitted to the white paper consultation.
The 10 charities involved, including the Alliance, hope to gain as high a profile and much media coverage as possible, so are asking all partner to feature this on their website and send the press release to their media contacts. If you would like web copy and a sample press release, please email Tahani Saridar.
