Brain Awareness Week 2013 starts today!

Today marks the start of Brain Awareness Week 2013. We have joined forces to raise awareness of neurological conditions during Brain Awareness Week under the theme Our Brains Matter.

A press release today (11 March) highlights the need for improvements and investment to create a consistent level of care across the country. It also launches a new survey to build up a clear picture of just how difficult getting the right diagnosis can be.

‘We are delighted to be part of this campaign with the members of the Neurological Alliance,’ says Arlene Wilkie, Chief Executive of The Neurological Alliance.

‘Brain Awareness Week is an important step in raising awareness of neurological conditions and the key issues. We urge everyone affected to complete our survey and help us expose some of the realities and challenges facing neurology services in the UK.’

Brain Awareness Week
is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research.
