Neurological Alliance Manifesto launched today
Today we are launching our Manifesto 2015: a call to action for neurology. We set out three key priorities for improving neurology services, drawn up through consultation with our member organisations. We are asking politicians to focus on:
- Improving data and intelligence on neurological conditions
- Improving access to specialist care and expertise
- Supporting and funding research into new and better treatments for neurological conditions.
Neurological Alliance Chief Executive, Arlene Wilkie, said: “Over 12 million people in England live with a neurological condition, but too many are let down by our health and social care system. Less than a year away from the next general election, it is vital that the neurological community presents some strong neurology-wide messages to politicians and policy-makers.”
