Chief executive appointment
The Neurological Alliance has appointed a new Chief Executive, Sarah Vibert.
Sarah joins us from the Epilepsy Society, where she worked as Director of Strategy and External Affairs. There she was responsible for strategy, business development, partnerships, policy, user involvement, and communications. Prior to working at Epilepsy Society, Sarah held a number of management roles in the charity sector and local government, including working in policy and strategic projects for the Mayor of London and in the Charities Office of HRH the Prince of Wales.
Sarah replaces Arlene Wilkie, who after more than five years at the helm of the Alliance, has moved on to be Chief Executive at the Migraine Trust. The Alliance would like to extend a huge thank you to Arlene for her hard work and dedication during her time at the Alliance. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Arlene in her new role.
Sarah says, “I am delighted to be joining the Neurological Alliance as chief executive, and look forward to working closely with our members to achieve progress on the key issues facing people living with neurological conditions.
The Alliance, under Arlene’s leadership, has made great strides in recent years, but there is still much to be done to ensure that people with neurological conditions all receive the services and support they need. It is essential that we provide a strong collective voice for neurology so that everyone living with these complex conditions gets the help they need. It is an exciting challenge and I can’t wait to get started!”
